Citrus aurantium is the dry juvenile base of Citrus aurantium L. and its cultivar or sweet orange Cis sinensis (L.) Osbeck. The main components of Citrus aurantium are flavonoids, biologicals, volatile oils, etc.

Pharmacological action:Citrus bioflavones belong to vitamin P, a class of antioxidants that prevent vitamin C from being damaged by oxidation.  Antioxidants function in the body to eliminate free radicals.  Free radicals are produced by routine human activities and, left unchecked, may lead to premature aging and the development of certain degenerative diseases.  In addition, the orange flavone is believed to have antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and anti-allergic properties.
